Giffard Orgeat (Almond) Syrup 1Litre
Orgeat is a sweet almond syrup finished with a hint of orange-flower water, and Giffard's, made in Angers since 1885, is a benchmark: a delicate cream colour, a marzipan-like almond richness lifted by that floral note. It is the ingredient that gives tiki drinks their nutty backbone.
Orgeat sweetens while adding body and aroma in one go, which is why a Mai Tai leans on it so heavily. Shake it well, as the almond content wants a good emulsifying to come together in the glass. Beyond tiki it hides quietly in a handful of older classics, and note it does contain almonds, so it is off-limits for nut allergies.
How to Use
15-20ml per drink, shaken well to integrate. Contains almonds (nut allergen). Refrigerate after opening and use within a few weeks. Supplied in a 1-litre bottle.
Cocktails to Try
Mai Tai, Japanese Cocktail, Trinidad Sour.
