Ruinart Rose Brut NV
Ruinart, the world's oldest Champagne house, brings centuries of accumulated expertise to its elegant rosé expression. This non-vintage blend demonstrates the house's distinctive philosophy: that rosé demands as much precision as any white Champagne, and that colour should enhance rather than dominate the overall profile. The wine draws from a careful selection of still wines and precise dosage to achieve colour without compromising essential elegance throughout. The aromatics are delicate and beautifully well-defined: strawberry, red currant, white stone fruit, and a compelling minerality with clear hints of chalk. There's also pronounced brioche notes and subtle white flowers, alongside hints of white chocolate - suggesting proper extended ageing and full integration. The palate delivers rosé of unusual sophistication and balance throughout. The mousse is refined and persistent, delivering flavours of delicate complexity: strawberry, red currant, subtle stone fruit, with pronounced undertones of almond and honey. The acidity is perfectly calibrated, providing both refreshing freshness and the structural integrity to carry flavours across the palate with grace. The mid-palate has surprising weight and concentration for a rosé. How to Serve: Chill to 7-9°C and serve in proper flutes. Food Pairings: Excellent with poultry dishes and refined seafood preparations.
