Hommage - 69 cl Case of 6
Big reds need room. Pour a serious Burgundy or a mature Barolo into a mean little glass and you lose half of what you paid for. The Lehmann Hommage 69cl gives that wine the space it deserves — a generous, broad-bowled glass built to let aromatics unfurl. This is the case of six.
Lehmann Glass was founded in Reims in 2012 by glass designer Gérard Lehmann and the late Gérard Basset, one of the most decorated sommeliers in history. The Hommage collection carries his name and his priorities: get out of the way of the wine. It's made from lead-free crystal using Lehmann's Ultralight process, which took two years to develop and produces walls remarkably thin for a glass this size. At 250mm tall with a 104mm bowl, it has real presence on the table — yet lifts far lighter than it looks.
The broad bowl does the work. It gives red wine a wide surface to open against the air, drawing out the perfume and softening young tannins as you swirl. That makes it ideal for structured, aromatic reds — Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo, aged Bordeaux — anything with layers you want to coax into the open. The tall stem keeps your hand away from the bowl and the wine at the right temperature.
How to Use
Pour a modest measure — fill only to the widest part of the bowl, leaving plenty of air above the wine to gather aroma. Swirl gently before you drink. Hold it by the stem, not the bowl. Dishwasher safe, though hand washing and a polish keeps the crystal clearest.
