Giffard Aperitif Bitter - Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Base 70cl
Giffard has made syrups and liqueurs in Angers, in France's Loire Valley, since 1885. This is their alcohol-free take on a Campari-style bitter aperitif: a bright red, 0% base built from natural flavourings, with bitter gentian and quinine set against blood orange, grapefruit and a berry sweetness. It drinks properly bitter, not like a sweet cordial pretending to be an aperitif.
Treat it the way you would Campari or Aperol, minus the alcohol. This is a full-strength base rather than a dashing bitters, so it goes in by the measure. Build an alcohol-free spritz over ice with soda and a splash of NA sparkling, or use it as the bitter red heart of a zero-proof Negroni or Garibaldi.
How to Use
Pour 25-50ml as the bitter component, over plenty of ice, lengthened with soda or alcohol-free sparkling. Refrigerate once opened and use within a few weeks. 70cl bottle, 0% ABV.
Cocktails to Try
Alcohol-free Spritz, NA Negroni, Garibaldi.
