Cincoro Tequila Blanco 70cl
Cincoro Blanco is the clearest window into what this NBA-founded brand is actually about, because unaged tequila has nowhere to hide. Michael Jordan and four fellow team owners launched Cincoro — cinco plus oro — with a genuine obsession over sourcing, and the Blanco lets you taste the raw material without a barrel getting in the way.
The agave is a blend drawn from both the highlands and the lowlands of Jalisco, all 100% blue Weber. The highland fruit brings a bright, citrusy top note; the lowland fruit adds an earthy weight underneath. It's slow-cooked and slowly distilled, and the result is clean without being characterless.
Expect a delicate, aromatic nose — fresh agave, citrus, a faint thread of vanilla. The palate is crisp and lively: fresh agave leads, then grapefruit, then a little fresh-jalapeño green heat that stops it feeling soft. The finish carries citrus balanced against cooked agave and a gentle spice. At 40% it's clean, precise and eminently sippable.
This is the blanco to reach for when you want to actually taste your tequila — whether that's neat over a slow evening or in the sharpest margarita you'll make.
How to Serve
Neat in a copita at room temperature for the full aromatic picture, or over one large ice cube if you want it crisp. It makes a superb margarita or Paloma — the grapefruit note practically asks for the latter.
Where to Drink It
Swift in Soho, for a margarita made with care. Tayēr + Elementary, for agave in expert hands. Black Rock, for a spirit-forward crowd.
Food Pairings
Made for a fresh ceviche or tuna tostada — the citrus and green heat echo the dish. Or try it with a squeeze of lime over grilled prawns.
