Manfredi’s Grecanico from Terre Siciliane 2023 is a Sicilian white made from the rare Grecanico Dorato grape, an aromatic local variety revived by a new generation of producers. In the cellar, the approach is split: about half the grapes are pressed directly to tank, while the other half is macerated (skin contact) for two days, lending extra texture, depth and colour. On the nose, it offers toasted almond, apricot, citrus peel and a subtle floral lift. The palate is resonant, creamy texture meets bright acidity, with nutty undertones and saline drive that linger. This is a wine with lightness and presence: evocative, characterful, and expressive of Sicily’s mineral core.
