Rosso di Mezzo dances into the world not by grand design but as a charming accident from a rainy 2018 harvest in the heart of Contrada Feudo di Mezzo at Passopisciaro, from a century-old vineyards. Spontaneously fermented in stainless steel with open vat and no temperature control, the wine then aged for 24 months in steel and an additional 6 months in bottle. This wine reflects the finesse and lightness of its terroir, resulting in a remarkably clean and refreshing juice. A deep, translucent ruby color, it presents an intense fruity nose with red currant and wild blueberry notes, layered with hints of fresh herbs and caper leaf. On the palate, its vibrancy blends with elegant herbal nuances and a hint of blood orange. The finish is marked by a pleasing mineral sensation, evoking flint.
