There is nothing heavy here, nothing forced. The palate is gentle but layered, with pear, lime cordial, soft barley sweetness and a thread of white pepper. Decades in oak have added a polished, almost candle-wax texture without smothering the trademark freshness. The finish is long and clean, fading on citrus pith and a whisper of dried herbs.
