Luce della Vite Grappa 50cl arrives from the heart of Tuscany's winemaking tradition, a spirit born from the poetry of grape pomace - the skins and seeds left behind after wine production. In the hands of a master distiller, these leftovers become the foundation of something extraordinary. This is not rough or rustic; it is refined and elegant, a meditation on what great grappa can be when treated with respect and skill.
The production is meticulous. Luce della Vite begins with pomace from Tuscan vineyards, carefully selected and gently distilled using traditional methods that preserve rather than overpower. The distiller works with precision, taking only the heart cuts - the purest, most refined portion of the distillate - and discarding the heads and tails. It is laborious work, and it shows in the glass — this is a notably clean, elegant grappa.
On the nose, floral and herbal notes dance alongside stone fruit - apricot, peach - and a mineral undertone that speaks of Tuscan terroir. The palate is smooth and warming, with a texture that feels refined rather than fiery. Notes of white flowers, hazelnut, and a gentle warmth unfold slowly. The finish is long and clean, with a faint echo of the grape varieties from which it was born.
