The 2021 vintage leans into freshness and precision, a year that favours perfume, detail and delicacy over sheer muscle. In the glass: wild strawberries, red cherries and crushed rose petals, with a whisper of spice and that gentle woodland note that makes Burgundy so hard to pin down but so easy to fall for. The texture is pure Volnay, silky, poised, quietly persistent. A wine that feels entirely at home beside roast duck, mushroom dishes or a candlelit table that’s in no hurry to finish the bottle.
