Cygnet Infinity Non-Alcoholic Spirit 70cl
Cygnet Infinity is the distillery's answer to the growing crowd who want the ritual of a gin and tonic without the alcohol. It carries the house's aromatic, botanical character into an alcohol-free format.
Made in Swansea by Cygnet Distillery, Infinity is built to sit in for their gin in a long serve, distilled and blended around the same kind of floral and citrus botanicals that define the range. The challenge with any non-alcoholic spirit is body and length, since alcohol usually carries both, and Infinity leans on botanical intensity to fill that gap.
On the nose you get juniper, citrus peel and a lift of coriander and floral notes. The palate is dry and aromatic, with a peppery, slightly warming finish that mimics the bite of a real gin better than most. It won't fool a purist entirely, but built into a tall glass with tonic and plenty of garnish, it delivers a genuinely satisfying drink.
At around £30 it is priced in line with the better non-alcoholic spirits on the market. This is the bottle to reach for when you want something considered and grown-up rather than a soft drink, whether you're driving, pregnant, or simply taking a night off.
How to Serve
Build over plenty of ice with a good tonic and a generous garnish of citrus and herbs to boost the aromatics. Serve in a balloon glass.
