An Exclusive Evening of Whisky - 10 November

Thirty places, no ticket price, and an evening given over entirely to whisky. We put nights like this on because whisky makes far more sense in company — with someone pouring, someone explaining, and everyone else free to disagree.

You'll be guided through a run of drams chosen for contrast rather than crowd-pleasing. That usually means moving between regions and cask types so the differences actually land: what sherry-cask maturation does to weight and dried-fruit depth, why peat reads as smoke to some drinkers and sea salt to others, how a few extra years in oak changes texture as much as flavour. Nose it, taste it, ask the awkward question, change your mind.

It suits the newcomer who has been meaning to work out what they genuinely like. It suits the drinker who already has a shelf at home and wants to find the gap in it. No prior knowledge assumed, and nobody will make you feel tested.

What to Expect

A guided flight with proper time on each pour, glassware and water provided, and someone on hand who can answer the questions you'd feel silly asking in a shop. Eat something beforehand.
